Shared Inbox Triage Agent

Human-approved · Starter · Medium severity

Works with: Outlook (shared mailboxes), Teams, D365 (optional)

The problem

info@, sales@, admin@ — shared inboxes where messages are read by everyone and owned by no one. Real inquiries sit next to spam; responses depend on who happened to look; things fall through on busy days.

What the agent does

  1. Trigger: new message in the shared mailbox.
  2. Classifies: sales inquiry, support request, invoice/vendor, spam/newsletter, other.
  3. Routes: applies category, assigns/forwards to the right owner, creates the D365 lead or case where appropriate.
  4. Drafts a reply for routine requests (hours, documents, directions). Human approval before any send.
  5. Posts a daily digest of unhandled items with aging.

You need this if

Who uses it

Office admin, sales/support teams.

What goes in, what comes out

In: shared mailbox stream. Out: classified/routed messages, drafted replies, daily digest, aging metrics.

Why it pays

Feeds clean, routed work into every downstream process and removes the "who's checking info@?" problem permanently. Often the discovery engine that reveals which other agents a client needs.
